Week 9b: Change of Circumstances

  • Mar 30, 2020

Unfortunately, due to the circumstances of COVID-19, we are no longer able to continue with the hardware research, development, and implementation part of this project. LMU has decided to restrict on campus access in addition to opting for online courses for the rest of the semester. Going forward, we will be dedicating all of our efforts towards software development for GPU acceleration. Luckily, we have a saved waveform “e” for offline data testing. Dr. Asghari was fortunate enough to take the new workstation home and much of the system. We will be able to send our working code to him for live testing. We are also in the process of setting up a remote login to the workstation. We have two main sections of code to work on, processing and visualization. Our current plan is to break up the processing between us. We would each cover researching and coding two separate sections of the processing code, the GPU framing and queuing.
